    Traction but not too much!

    The Jackal Legacy and LE are a couple of my favorite balls. I retired my Legacy after an 813, so I've been watching for a Jackal to take it's place.
    The Ambush is so strong, if there isn't a lake, that ball hooks in my backswing.
    The Onyx has more traction in the oil than the Legacy. Which is what I expected with the new cover. BUT when I oops and sent it out wide, it somehow retains energy and still makes it back to the pocket!
    This is a GREAT ball for those heavy oil conditions. My house shot is 30mls and I intentionally played inside 10, keeping the ball in the oil to see what would happen. It doesn't over-react early, still makes the turn with gusto. It's not so overly aggressive and early that it's hooking by the arrows like the Ambush.

    Looks amazing

    This ball looks and feels amazing, I cant' wait to get it fully broke in! I plan on bowling in some tournaments this year and cant wait to show it off

    Great Ball, amazing reaction to oil.

    This ball is next level for anyone trying to get high scores. One of the most accurate I have been with any ball. The precision and consistent reaction is so nice! Definitely a ball I can throw, and trust it will react.

    Just Tossed a Perfect Game!

    As of last night 09/09/2025 with this ball, I rolled my first ever perfect game at Emerald lanes. Ball has ALWAYS hit hard, would recommend this ball to everyone :)

    You need this ball.

    This ball is your hard hitter. Lots of oil? No problem! Worried about lane shine? Not a problem. It consistently keeps a good move and while a strong cover and core, it extremely versatile.

    I drilled mine with a fairly strong layout and still can use it as my first ball out the bag and on many nights, it will be the only ball out of the bag.
