Introducing the ferocious Overload Core, a dynamic asymmetrical marvel engineered to fill a strategic gap in the Motiv Bowling arsenal. Nestled between the formidable Predator V2 core of the Jackal series and the dominant Dominion core found in the Pride lineup, the Overload core hits the sweet spot tailored for the challenges of medium-heavy oil conditions. 

What makes this core so special is that it boasts the ability to change the differential with drilling by up to 25%, while also offering drilling options that will lower the differential. No previous MOTIV core could lower the differential of a drilled ball.  While many bowlers look for the most differential possible when drilling a ball, rev dominant bowlers are usually limited by the increased diff of drilled balls. As an upper-mid core that must be versatile, the Overload core is the perfect option for offering so much versatility.

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant Bowlers - Speed dominant bowlers need traction on the lane to repeat with confidence.  However, there had previously been a large gap between the Jackal Ambush and the Pride Dynasty when trying to stay in slow response asymmetrical balls.  The Evoke is the perfect bridge between these two balls and a critical part of the progression for a speed dominant bowler.
  • Balanced Bowlers - Balanced bowlers will use the Evoke as a first ball out of the bag on lower friction lane surfaces.  With a coverstock that is easier through the front than a Jackal Ambush, but with a more substantial footprint on the lane than the balls in the line created for medium oil, the Evoke is a great benchmark for bowlers on higher concentrations of oil or on lower friction synthetic lane surfaces.
  • Rev Dominant Bowlers - A rev dominant bowler can use the Evoke as their heavy oil control ball without any need for more traction or control.  The Motiv Evoke will easily serve as a rev dominant player’s strongest asymmetrical ball in the bag and give them the traction and smooth response to friction needed on challenging or heavy oil conditions.

    Wow

    I'm just your average league bowler, consider myself a balanced type bowler. I've averaged 175-185 with this ball. It is remarkable. I consistently hit the pocket with this ball, even when I miss my mark I've seen this ball still explode into the pocket. I have had shots way too far outside and almost in the channel and it has come back into the pocket for a strike. I haven't had the big series with this ball as yet, but I know it will come with this ball. As it is described this ball reads the lanes well.

    Clean and consistent

    Having only purchased my first MOTIV bowling balls in 2024, I am now sold on the complete arsenal. Getting prepared for 2024 nationals the Evoke was drilled in Las Vegas. This is a very clean and consistent ball through the mid lane and backends. With consistent hitting power and carries very well. The Evoke being part of my new 3 ball arsenal gave me my best scores in many years at nationals. Evoke stays in my 3 ball arsenal at all times.

    Strongest ball in my bag!!

    I don’t know if it’s the strongest ball in my bag or if I just match with it so much better than any of my others. But this ball STRIKES and strikes A LOT!!! I have so many Motiv balls that I sometimes forget some of them. I used to have to carry so many balls into a tournament. I mean a 6 ball arsenal with another 10-12 in the car just in case. This last tournament I walked in with my Crimson Jackal, Evoke and Hyper Venom to take the win by 54 pins. The Evoke is just on another level from any other ball on the market right now. That includes the Gem, OG Reality, DV8 Wicked Collision, Hammer Effect and 3.0 and the Attention Star. Mark my words!!! This ball is going to end up taking ball of the year over the attention star and the Crimson Jackal once it has been out long enough that people have had a chance to throw it like they have those others.

    My full arsenal consist of:
    Jackals: Alpha, Ambush, Rise, Ghost (have 3 of these with different layouts) and Crimson
    Nuclear Forge, Subzero (only thrown it a handful of times so far while I was in Tampa last week)
    Venom: Shock, Recoil and Hyper
    Supra Rally (retired it), Supra GT

    If you have not thrown an Evoke then I urge you to make it to one of the Motiv Test Drives. Even if it’s a couple hours away, go make a good little vaca of it and throw some balls. Once you throw the Evoke you will definitely buy 1 and will probably be like me and get you 2 of them. I have 1 drilled for the 45 diff and the other is drilled for the 60 diff. I will also probably go ahead and grab a few more to keep deadstock just in case they decide to retire it anytime soon. Hopefully it can stay in the lineup like the Ghost has. I have probably drilled 10 Ghost in the last 8 years ??.

    Anyway, GO BUY THIS BALL NOW or if you are undecided then make sure that you go to a test drive event so you can throw one. There is an entire list of upcoming events and you will most likely be close enough to one so you can go test it out. Once you do, then I promise that you will be driving home with at least 1 of them

    Love this ball

    This ball is a must have for me. Every time I go bowling this is always in my bags and I know that it won’t let me down. For me it is a great starting ball and an OK middle or end ball. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something like this.
