01/19/2023Product Mythic JackalBy Jason HughesFrom Holly, MIAbout Me 190 avg, league bowler, JV CoachProbably my second favorite ball...
I just had this ball drilled this week and used it for league and... wow! I had a Sky Raptor drilled at the same time so the Mythic didn't come out until game two but what a performance. I would typically work my way to my Pride as lanes transition but I am waiting for my replacement Pride to be delivered so I had to go to the Mythic early. I under read the strength of this ball in the first frame and left the 1 and 3 (drilled pin up, this ball reads the oil and finish really strong on the back for a really smooth shape). After the first frame I then threw 9 strikes (two were Brooklyn). The ball hits the pins hard and has the big smooth shape down lane that I like to play. I am a balanced bowler (350ish revs but I keep the ball speed down to 14-14.5 to balance it) and was concerned this ball may roll out too soon and exhaust energy before hitting the pins but I had nothing to worry about. And this is just cosmetics, BUT, I think this ball looks absolutely beautiful down the lane. I will keep the Pride as my benchmark but will be looking forward to the transition to get this ball out. Well done Motiv!!! 6 ball arsenal = Mythic Jackal, Sky Raptor, Trident Odyssey, Pride, Venom Shock, Fatal Venom

11/28/2022Product Mythic JackalBy Eric McElroyFrom Holly, MIAbout Me I am still a fairly new bowler but quickly learning the game of bowlingl.First 700 Series
This ball was given to me in new condition. I was able to get it fitted for my hand the next day and used it the same night in league play. I shot my first 700 series (740) and could not believe how this ball held up through all three games.

10/24/2022Product Mythic JackalBy JoshFrom Morristown MNAbout Me need to recheck, last check 375@18mph, PAP 4.5"x1/4"upThis is no Myth
I ordered this ball and the Ember at the same time.
I have the Mythic drilled Pin Down as my Jackal Flash is pin up. They actually compliment each other pretty well, but the Mythic is more angular, goes longer, and blends the used pattern better, for me.
I decided to use this as my league ball right out of the box. The first time I threw it, I was shocked at how long it went. I thought I earned myself a 6 pin when all the sudden it made a left turn, hit the pocket and blew up the rack. I ended up throwing a 640 that night out of the box. Not to bad. I (not the ball) made a few mistakes, where that score could have been much better.
My intent for this ball is to have something that can go through the "tracks" of some of the other teams and bowlers I go against.
While working through the transition, where I've had other balls pick up on the other tracks that guys have made causing a bad over/under for me. This ball doesn't do that.
I will say... do NOT be afraid to send this ball out! It WILL come back!
I used it this weekend in a tourney, throwing a 244 with it after 2 splits in frames 2 and 3 due to exactly what I was talking about above. This ball blends that abused pattern out, and has the power even in a heavier worked over pattern.

10/20/2022Product Mythic JackalBy Shawn L PennellFrom Lansing, MIAbout Me Right hand, 400 rev, med speed, 213 comp. average last yearBelieve the Myth.
Drilled this ball a few weeks back due to the house I bowl at changing the house shot. In the past I would always use my Recoil as a starting ball, with the change in pattern that was no longer an option. The Ghost is now first ball out of the bag. After a game or 2 the Ghost would struggle to carry, so I had been experimenting with a few different balls and nothing I had was really filling the spot. Well, there is something there now. The Mythic allows me to stay in the same area I had been with the Ghost but goes down lane longer and drives stronger off the spot.
I also took the Mythic to another bowling alley that is notoriously a high friction house. There I threw it the last two games scoring my highest set of the season last week 696. I had to play a bigger angle, but was nice to see I could use it in multiple scenarios.I would recommend this to a friend

10/18/2022Product Mythic JackalBy Robert PoeschlFrom Milwaukee, WIBridging The Gap, The Hybrid Jackal
Stood on the sidelines for a few months on this release but wanting to roll something more aggressive on house shots where solid symmetrical and asyms don’t work well. With input of a few staffers, I went in on this one with a little tuning on the layout to emphasize the smoother earlier motion I was looking to achieve 20x5x40 which is 5x2.2x2.7 for the VLS people. My specs approx. 16mph at the breakpoint with 450rpm, moderate axis rotation and tilt.
I never like judging a ball fresh out of the box, they can all be very strong but I must say I really liked this one from the start. Sure it can be flippy which is more a product of the pattern but it’s definitely smoother than a Flash and more balanced than the Iron Forge. My struggle is I can’t use big solid asymmetrical or anything with too much surface on house shots without chewing up the pattern from the inside at the start of play. On a 5 person scratch team this is not good for anyone including myself when trying to open up the lane for easier scoring through the set.
The Mythic allows me to limit my angles from the start giving length without too jumpy of a move downlane. Even a big flaring pearl can be over/under from not slowing down enough through the hook phase. Going the other way a Ghost pushes me an easy 5 boards left to get it to shape right. I really like the Mythic with a P5000D CTD pad by hand, gives it just a little more surface to help it slow down while still playing weaker than a Ghost.
Very happy with this matchup. Hopefully this release won’t be short lived. A rare 5 star from me.
