03/12/2024Product Crimson JackalBy GeneFrom Columbia, SCAbout Me 180 average league bowlerCrimson Jackal
Out of box this ball was almost too much. Crazy clean and angular once it saw friction. After 100+ games it loses energy in transition. Great for the fresh, but once the lanes transition I need to ball down (usually to my Primal).

Layout: 60 x 4 3/8 x 40
Strengths
Crimson Jackal sits up earlier than Mythic Jackal and Ripcord Launch, however the length it provides is comparable to Nuclear Forge.
The Propulsion coverstock is what makes Crimson Jackal versatile on medium to heavier oil patterns, you will appreciate the remarkable total hook it provides.
Weaknesses
Crimson Jackal is a huge pearl, and the more friction Crimson encounters the bigger reaction you will see out of it. It can provide you with too much hook for drier conditions.
Summary
Crimson Jackal is user friendly on a variety of patterns, and to anyone that was not fond of the Golden Jackal I would encourage you to accept the mission of putting a Crimson in your bag.
Your game will thank you for it.

02/21/2024Product Crimson JackalBy Delan DeBlieckFrom Kuna, IDMy Favorite Asym.
I bowl Rev heavy and have very rarely had a good time with asymmetrical balls. The turn up early on has always caused issues in consistency for me. However, this ball maintains its energy as it goes down lane and, not only has become my favorite asymmetrical ball, but one of my favorite balls in general. The coverstock does great, even in later blocks. And I don't think you can get too far over with this ball, it always seems to makes it way back to the pocket. As other asym balls, when the lane drys out, it gets difficult because of the early read; as you make your way over.

This ball for me is versatile. Able to use it for the entire night without having to change. The ball is laid out 60 x 4 1/2 x 30. I am able to start the night playing straighter down the outside and as the night goes on, I just move my feet left and get the ball out and it will still come back to the pocket. This is one of the few balls that I have found that I can do this with. I would highly recommend this ball
